Canadian Made

Paradigm was founded in 1982 in Toronto, Canada. Founders Jerry VanderMarel and Scott Bagby wanted to produce high-quality, high-end speaker components that would strike a perfect balance between value and performance.

And they had another goal in mind, as well: They wanted to make their speakers “disappear.”

They partnered with university researchers to build the perfect speaker, and they unveiled their products at that year’s Toronto Audio Show. They were an immediate hit.

Over the next three decades, Paradigm has continued to expand and evolve. They also continued to partner with leading scientists, like the Research Council of Canada, to provide science-backed solutions for their products.

In the early part of this decade, they saw the industry shifting. Multi-channel home theater and in-wall speakers were emerging as huge markets. So they took action, and dove right in, unveiling well-received speaker systems for the residential market. They also developed the first consumer-friendly, professional grade room correction software.

Most recently, they released the Persona Series, featuring many firsts for the company. Sporting Beryllium drivers, a modern design, and their patented Active Ridge Technology (ART) Surrounds to Perforated Phase Aligning (PPA) Lenses; the Persona series has once again transformed the way audiophiles see (and hear) Paradigm speakers.

The Paradigm Difference

Paradigm offers a full range of speakers, for dedicated two-channel systems, home theater, and multi-room audio distribution. Here are some of the highlights:

Persona Series: The Persona Series of loudspeakers has quickly become a go-to for home audio enthusiasts since its introduction in 2016. Paradigm’s first speaker line to use Beryllium – a low mass, high-tensile chemical element that’s been a staple of high-end audio for decades – in their tweeters and mid-range drivers, the Persona series offers unparalleled performance and high-value luxury for your two-channel system.

CI Elite Series: Their CI Elite Series of speakers is designed to offer full performance in a recessed package. The X-PAL tweeter features a Perforated Phase-Aligning tweeter lens for extended high-range frequencies. And the RED Technology die-cast aluminum tweeter housing offers stunning mid-range frequencies. CI Elite is perfect for in-wall and home theater solutions.
